Anonymous asked: I was wondering most retailers get quite upset everytime you guys talk about going all digital and i understand that a little bit but i was wondering why that doesnt exist for other markets. Video games for example are planning to go digital eventually and they dont get even close to the ammount of hate you guys get in the comic book industry. Personally i can't imagine not being able to get my collected issues but i certainly think its doable for single issues.
I think those other industries you talk about do get these same complaints and concerns, you’re just not in a position to hear about them.
It was brutal in the game industry. Microsoft and Nintendo still fear going below retail prices for sales. PC gaming had tons of drama with retailers pulling games off shelves.
But only gamestop remains in gaming and they focus on used/trade-in games.
Comic shops are in a bad position.
