i used to see these in manga and I wanted to do the most complicated one I possibly could.

Make a more complicated version that uses a transparent layer on top of things to expose deeper relationships.. or one that uses pop-up book stuff.

As I quite liked this, and after seeing the movie, every time I see this, I hear it as Stacey explaining how everyone is connected to Scott as he nods along.

Huh, I didn’t realize you wrote like a normal comic book writer, then did art that way as well.  I figured you writer/artists do some sort of weird hybrid of sketches with word balloons as a pre-script.
