So apparently Rob Liefeld is quitting comics
Looking at the comments I have one thing to say.
Yes, I make fun of him and everything like most people do. But without him Deadpool wouldn’t exist at all. Without him X-Force might not have existed either. Yeah most of his drawings are laughable but he also contributed to things that are still around now.
So let us all salute
To you Mr. Rob Liefeld
Whoa, he said he is done with DC and focusing on his creator-owned stuff again.
Big difference there.
I also give him big points for enthusiasm, even if his work hasn’t been my cup of tea, or even in the same room as my fucking tea.
Guy does what he likes, and people buy what he does, seems like he is winning at life.

Rob Liefeld knows how to draw women perfectly. Especially ones that defy the laws of physics with their waists.
This neither titillates nor intimidates me. Maybe they’re trying to defeat their foes through a mixture of disgust and pity?
Holy shit, the girl on the right has breasts that are breaking the laws of physics. Look at her front arm, now notice that hand appears in front of her tits, but her sword is BEHIND THEM!!! The other one has a sword holster that is glued onto her soulder or something, and what appears to be a ribbed dildo sticking up for some reason.
I really wish he would learn how to draw people.
I’ve been rocking these Heroes Reborn posters on my walls off-and-on since the late 90s. But it wasn’t until last night that I did a search for them online… see, I wanted to show some friends what they looked like… but goddamn it I couldn’t find a single result for them! So I decided to take my own pics. Have you ever seen these posters before?
I think this is some of the worst Liefield art I’ve seen. Look at that Thor bicep.

Excellent! Thank you holdthesebees! :D
Does anybody have the 2nd page? It’s from Wizard by the way (where else?)
When coming up with a gesture, I don’t use any reference, but once it comes time to finish the drawing, well, I’ll look at everything from Victoria’s Secret catalogs to Maxim to my shapely wife for input.
I love how he goes “from Victoria’s Secret catalogs to Maxim” as if he’s showing that he references from a wide variety of female body types, clothing and poses. This explains a lot. Also, I don’t know if that’s really a compliment to his wife if he honestly believes she looks like his drawings. I hope that her spine is okay at least.
His fear that Wonder Girl’s waist is too big for a girl explains a lot about his art too (and that he fears “man hands”).
This is golden.
You know, the whole problem with Liefield is that he doesn’t use references for coming up with a gesture. I’m pretty sure almost everyone else does, for the big things like oh.. how a woman with her arms in blocking pose would look from the “camera” angle.. and not just for the finishes.
I’d love to see part 2.
