I Have No Words…

To be completely honest, I’m really hoping that this comic is a joke comic, but something is telling me that it isn’t. I’m going to work on a re-draw but I have no idea where to even start. I can’t get past that…”nipple…armor”-stuff…its just terrifying. It almost makes me want to look up the comic in a shop sometime just to see if the rest of it is just as bad.

Something tells me that it’d be worse.

That’s from Tarot (as I see you’ve realized in your edit.)  I generally am more picky if I post anything from Tarot because, it’s well… Tarot.  It’s an adult comic, so obviously no “WTF clothing” or anything, but that’s so bad that I have to post it. xD

(For the record, I actually do like Tarot for what it is.)

The creator used to do superhero stuff. He was all “I WANT TO DRAW MORE/BIGGER BOOBS!” and he did. And he saw that he could go bigger, so he did.

The odd part is that he can, and does draw some of the poses/anatomy to be in the realm of possible (there is a skeleton underneath) even though though are quite improbable.

But yeah, everything is pretty much totally up front with Tarot, it’s a comic about titties and magic. Also the stories are so odd that the giant boobs being out all the time is the least odd part. Dare I say that the boobs are appropriate in Tarot? soooort of.

At least compared to how it is in cape-comics where it feels really out of place to have a booty shot in the middle of the fight. In Tarot, all shots are booby/booty shots. Sometimes he will add an extra woman to a scene to make it work better.

I also will give Jim credit for having his female characters be the leads and tends to send a message of acceptance through most of the book, this is just.. you know.. what he wants, but in the bits I’ve read, there wasn’t any hate for different body-types, or even views, I read an issue where there was a witch meeting of different types of witches who all do things differently and there was sort of a tone of acceptance to it.

Also in the context of the world.. this character has ridiculous boobs, and had an arc about how she was called a slut for having them, then decided to just throw them out there as gaudy as possible. And while yes, they are sort of impossibly perky, she is also shooting magic out of her hand, maybe she is using magic on them, subliminally? I don’t know.. but not the worst thing in the comic.

That would be the issue with the ghosts in a girls vagina.

I fuckin’ love this guy.

Jim Balent is livign the dream of doing exactly what he wants. DRAWING GIANT TITTES ON WITCHES.

And being his own boss, putting out an independent comic that makes him and the woman he loves enough to live happily.

I don’t like the way he draws, but when it’s his own stuff I am fine with it, but not when it’s Catwoman or sexing up stories that aren’t written way,

He also actually can draw realistic women in natural poses, but chooses not to.

I was reading the No Man’s Land vol. 2 trade paperback today and noticed this.  I know it’s Balent, but even for his style this is really off.  And I think she’s missing a leg… and organs.

I don’t think she has a ribcage.

It’s something about where her neck and head are located. Each part of Catwoman seems okay, but together, combined with that torso, it’s just so much worse.

And that is why the foreground dude is flipping out, she is some sort of monster.
