oh, okay. i was reviewing the series almost entirely from memory (and it’s been years since i’ve watched it), so i apologize for that mistake.

No, it’s odd. He is a giant wolf, she is a human. She shouldn’t really be attractive to him, as she is you know, not a giant demon wolf.  But love can take many forms, and that goes double for shape-shifting magical demons.
